It was a question asked a few years back on a broadcasting forum. So Why is radio software sometimes Free?
The software has since been adapted for use by several professional FM/AM stations too.
Which is great when you think about it.
We’ve tried all sorts of different pieces of radio playout automation software in our time and we’ve been impressed with some of them and not so impressed by others.
RadioDJ comes top of my all time favourite software list.
I’ve been into Internet radio for the best part of 21 years and no other piece of software has ever come close to RadioDJ.
Its just the most amazing piece of radio playout software that automates music & jingles seamlessly once setup.
I’ve also tried some other free software too most of which can be found Here
Its great when software works as it was designed. The fact its sometimes free is also a huge bonus.
RadioDJ is fast gaining traction as the number one radio automation solution
There will be a paid for version of RadioDJ eventually but the author has pledged to keep the free version available for those who need it.
So why is radio software sometimes free?
Because it is no discussion required!
You’d be amazed how jealous some people are towards free radio playout software solutions.
They’re Jealous because RadioDJ is the best radio automation software on Windows 7/8/10
RadioDJ doesn’t need any marketing gimmicks.
It practically sells itself by the amount of downloads it receives.
A wise man once said: The only people who have anything to fear from free software are those whose products are worth less.
