MariaDB 3 Years And Counting

Just been looking back on various posts on my Facebook page.

I realised it was around June 2014 when we were first made aware of MariaDB an alternative to Oracle MySQL

Since that first install a few years ago things have ran smoothly. We’ve not had to rebuild the RadioDJ database from scratch once.

Its Never RadioDJ At Fault!

For this past week we’ve been having ongoing technology/computer problems.

RadioDJ was acting strangely, Large gaps of silence between tracks and some tracks were being cut off prematurely.

I knew when we started having these issues that it definitely wasn’t the software at fault.

Why Does RadioDJ Rely On A MySQL Database?

Saw this post on a forum on a post about RadioDJ free radio automation software.
