Anti-Virus Problems and RadioDJ
“We’ve heard of a few users saying that they couldn’t get RadioDJ to work because their antivirus program flags it as suspicious”

We recently heard reports of antivirus programs flagging up the RadioDJ program files as suspicious.
Avast, Bitdefender, Norton were all flagging up, deleting and quarantining perfectly safe program files.
It annoys us when AV software flags up a perfectly safe program as being infected when it isn’t.
We had the same sort of issues with the RadioDJ.exe a while back. We sent the RadioDJ.exe file to the antivirus company and they came back with this.
“Sorry, it was a false detection. It will be fixed in the next update. Thank you for your help”

Going through Shoutcast and tuning into a few random radio stations.
Some of them were quite good and sounded brilliant. Some of them however did not.
Digging a bit deeper and looking on their shoutcast DNAS server pages the reason for the poor audio quality on some of the stations was immediately clear.

SAM Broadcaster Crossfade Problems
As hard as I tried over the years I could never get SAM Broadcaster to transition smoothly between songs.
“This happened with every version of the software from 2.7.9 through to the newer versions. So it’s not just a problem confined to one version of SAM Broadcaster but every version of it”
Even the default settings would cut the end of a song off. All my files were ripped properly and volume levelled so that wasn’t the issue.
