I thought it was about time I did a post comparing RadioBoss against RadioDJ
Downloaded RadioBoss 5.6.2 to test to see if anything had changed since my last foray into the software.
I installed it and dragged a folder of music into the playlist, Then went on to try and configure the program and audio settings.

It’s NOT only pirated copies of SAM Broadcaster we see the software pirates searching for via Google analytics.
“RadioBoss Crack” appeared in among the search results on Google analytics recently

I saw there had been an update for Radiocaster the stand alone encoding software from DJSoft.
I downloaded and installed it to do a few tests again. Not much appears to have changed really since I last tested version 2.3.0.
The demo still has the annoying “Stream encoded by Radiocaster” popping up every few minutes.
We can’t really test something that puts audio over the stream now can we?

Cracking Software Gromit!
You have to wonder what software authors can do against a tide of cracked versions of their software.
It’s a particularly noticeable problem with radio automation software.
After doing a quick search on a newsgroup search engine the results looked like this.

Recently I went to try & test this piece of standalone encoding software from the same developer who codes RadioBoss.
It was easy enough to setup and configure. I had a Shoutcast stream going in about 3 minutes.
It seems like a decent piece of encoding software but I haven’t been able to test a stream properly because of a “voice” over the stream every so often in the demo.
