Help Someone’s Using My Station Name (Shoutcast)

Keep seeing posts on the Shoutcast forums from people running radio stations who state that someone else is streaming using their station name.

Shoutcast listings

“We heard 2 different streams under our station name, What is the source of the 2nd stream”
“Someone is using the same station name I want it removed”
“WTF? there’s a station with the same streaming radio name as my radio”

That’s the thing with Shoutcast people can call their radio station what they want and unless you’re a really big commercial radio station who has the money to get lawyers involved, There isn’t a fat lot you can do about it.

RadioDJ: 234 Days Without Restart!

Saw a post on the RadioDJ forums from a new user who stated he was restarting his computer weekly.

When asked why he was restarting his PC weekly he came back with this…

“It’s called “SAMitis”… Precautionary settings”

We’ve all been there, having to restart the computer running SAM Broadcaster every few days or weekly because SAM wasn’t working as it should.

With RadioDJ there is no need to keep restarting your PC weekly. It can run for weeks/months without restart.

We Don’t Need Another Radio Listing Website!

Saw a link popup on the Internet a few days ago for a new radio listing site called “myradiotuner” from the same guy who codes Nextkast so I went and had a look at the website.

myradiotuner

When I first tried it I was greeted by a static page although I got stations to play eventually on another browser. Yes I know its under construction but even then It doesn’t look great, The coding/layout looks almost like a clone of the Nextkast website.

Sorry But Your Customer Support Sucks!

This is beginning to get beyond a joke now, Spacial Audio do NOT know the meaning of the words “Customer service”

A user took to the Spacial Audio Facebook page to vent their frustration yesterday.

“I’m sorry but your customer support service sucks. I sent you a message, no one responds. I sent a second message and it’s been over a week now and still no response. It’s official, your customer support sucks. Not the way to treat customers especially when they’re having issues like I am with your software”

We know from experience just how frustrated this user is.

Why So Nasty?

Not a week goes by without someone somewhere giving me grief about posts on this website, It’s really starting to get tiresome…

The vitriol seems to stem from posts I’ve written about software/websites not being up to par. Its almost as if I’m not allowed an opinion about anything.
