For the past few years we’ve used Virtualbox to run Windows 7/10 on Ubuntu Studio so we could run RadioDJ..
For the most part its worked relatively OK but there were always issues I couldn’t quite put my finger on or fix.
Sat here shaking my head because of a post I’ve seen on a Facebook group.
Someone reckons because RadioDJ doesn’t have paid for support packages that its not a professional system.
There are no messy support contracts with RadioDJ because it doesn’t need them! You are free to do as you please with the software!
I feel I need to clarify a few things to those people who keep demanding that I help them with RadioDJ setup issues.
I swear some people expect far too much from a free piece of software… It might help if they read the RadioDJ licence agreement
When something goes wrong with RadioDJ we don’t have to give technical help or advice… We do 99.8% of the time because we care enough about the software.

This is beginning to get beyond a joke now, Spacial Audio do NOT know the meaning of the words “Customer service”
A user took to the Spacial Audio Facebook page to vent their frustration yesterday.
We know from experience just how frustrated this user is.

To say things have been a little bit quiet on the Broadcasting World forum lately would be an understatement.
One of the users made this observation over the weekend.

OK so software is never 100% foolproof…
If the worst happens and something should go wrong when installing or configuring software and you ask for help on the software manufacturers forum it might help if you supply details of any error messages or crash reports when you post.
RadioDJ .NET errors usually look like this. Though it’s rare to see one once the software is properly setup.
You copy the error message from the “details” window & paste that info onto the forums using the code tags (#) button at the top of the post builder.

Not a month goes by without me seeing some user being accused of running pirated copies of Spacial Audio software by the SVS volunteers on the Spacial forums.
Hold on just one minute! Not everyone who asks for help with an older version of software is running a pirated version.

I like some of the searches I see coming from Google analytics.
One of the searches recently was for “free radio broadcast automation software”
We’re guessing they were probably looking for an alternative to another well known radio automation program.
