Someone recently searched “import spotify playlist radiodj” on Google and landed on this website.
I’m writing this post so people understand the complexities when it comes to Spotify playlists and RadioDJ.
So you’ve installed RadioDJ and imported your music and you’re stuck as to what track rotations are let me try and explain a little.
Track Rotations in RadioDJ selects the music only from the categories you tell it to choose from, You can have multiple rotations for different moods, just don’t forget to save the rotation once you’ve created it.
Also make sure when creating a rotation item that the repeat rules boxes are checked so you don’t have any repetition in songs.

As I’m sat here surfing the web and posting on Twitter & RadioDJ is playing away in the background doing better Segues between songs than I ever could. I was never much of a mixing DJ anyway.
The crossfading in RadioDJ is just another reason to LOVE the software, I’m just happy I’ve finally found the most perfect piece of audio playback software.
“If technology had been this advanced in the 1980s I wouldn’t have a bad back from carrying Vinyl everywhere, it was the curse of being a DJ back in the day”

Yes I’m aware this is another post about RadioDJ and how great it is BUT the fact is its far more stable and reliable than other expensive radio automation software which you can pay lots of $$$, £££ or €€€ for.
We experienced what is known as a Clockwheel Failure where SAM Broadcaster would only play Station ID’s and Jingles even though the Clockwheel rotation had over 5,000 tracks to choose from so there shouldn’t have been an issue.
Switching to RadioDJ was the best decision I have ever made when it came to software, It was easy to use once I configured its database and options.

As the downloads of v.1.8.2 on the RadioDJ website hurtle towards 200,000 you have to admit the software must be making a difference in the world of radio automation.
Its not just the RadioDJ website where people have been downloading the software we’ve had around 20,000 downloads off our servers too.
The software was also hosted in several other websites so we may not know the actual figure of RadioDJ v1.8.2 downloads.
Yes OK we’re fully aware not all of those 220,000+ downloaders will be using the software but a great deal of users are.

When it comes to Internet radio automation software you have a choice…
“Do you pay out hundreds of $$$ for a program or do you download a program for free?”
Personally we’d rather use something for FREE means there’s more money to spend on other stuff
We know from using various Forums over the years that hobby broadcasters don’t always have $$$ to spend on software.
Nearly everytime we test the paid for radio automation solutions we come to the conclusion that they don’t perform that well when up against RadioDJ.

Saw this in among the search terms used on this website recently.
“Can’t get SAM Broadcaster to install on Windows 10”
We’re guessing this person was trying to install a really old version of the software.

Someone tweeted me yesterday to say they were going to try RadioDJ free radio automation software.
Later on I received this tweet.
@DJGaryBaldy After spending time with RadioDJ, it isn’t looking good. Can’t seem to handle loading a large playlist without freezing, takes minutes to load.
Marius the author of the software stated this before on the forums about playlists:

I looked at the Spacial Audio page on Facebook reacently and couldn’t help but notice an angry user venting about various issues with SAM Broadcaster.
I can not DJ because your software keeps letting me down plus I have had to shut down my radio station because of your software and its problems.
I don’t need any more of your quick (BUG) fixes, I really thought you had a quality product? Oh well lots of wasted money and time and opportunity.
