We quite often see new users of RadioDJ asking why that the request script doesn’t work on their website.

We came across MariaDB after a user posted on the RadioDJ forums that they were using it with RadioDJ.
If you have previously had MySQL installed you will need to see this article about removing it as a service
1) Download the Maria DB MSI installer for your version of Windows Here
2) Open the file & Install and run when Windows prompts.
3) On the licence agreement screen check the accept box. Click next.

Changing the Default SQL port:
When it comes to a MySQL server running along side RadioDJ some users have found that their web hosts won’t allow connections to the default SQL port 3306.
If your web host doesn’t allow MySQL connections on a standard 3306 port then you need to get creative by changing the default SQL port in the SQL server program
Otherwise you may get into trouble with them and you may also find your account closed without warning.
Important: You change MySQL ports at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for anything that goes wrong while reconfiguring things.
