Changing The Default MySQL Port

Changing the Default SQL port:

When it comes to a MySQL server running along side RadioDJ some users have found that their web hosts won’t allow connections to the default SQL port 3306.

If your web host doesn’t allow MySQL connections on a standard 3306 port then you need to get creative by changing the default SQL port in the SQL server program

Read The Disclaimer Page!

I’ve found myself yet again having to defend myself and this blog on social media.

I’m fed up with people trying to tell me what I can and cannot write on my Blog and Facebook pages.

It’s simple if you don’t like what I write on this website or what I write on Facebook then it’s pretty simple.

Auto Start No!

Auto start? No!

I think one of my biggest bug bears about websites has to be audio/video players on the main page auto starting without any warning.

Just clicked on a page from a radio station listing website & the radio stream started playing automatically.

Why Still Use Windows XP & RadioDJ?

Nothing Ever Changes (Spacial Audio/Sam Broadcaster)

I recently managed to get my hands on a copy of a newer version of SAM Broadcaster Pro.

I only had it open for 15 minutes before it did one of it’s infamous disappearing acts.

Yep it’s still doing what it’s always done crashing without warning.

Spacial Audio are utterly clueless when it comes to software coding that much is clear.

We made the switch to RadioDJ back in 2010 after SAM went horribly wrong on us.

RadioDJ free radio automation software internet radio

Works on Windows 7/8/10 with at least .NET 3.5 & 4.6.1 installed

How To Install RadioDJ

RadioDJ shouldn’t crash or break like SAM Broadcaster does so often when you least want it or need it to.

However should you require HELP then just log onto the RadioDJ community forums where one of the many Volunteers will come to your aid.

Handling RadioDJ Requests (DMCA Rules In USA)

Now RadioDJ has the ability to take listener requests from a website. I thought I would just do a small article on how best to go about handling RadioDJ requests within the program.

In order to stay within DMCA rules you need to delay a request for at least 60 minutes (Especially if you run a station in the USA)
