Saw a topic on the Winamp forums from a user wanting to use Winamp Pro to automate the music for their radio station.
Do I need a plugin to make playlists so it operates 24 hours? If so, which ones are the best? this is for music playlists but I want Winamp to never stop, It will actually be used for a small radio station.
We love it when we see someone new to the RadioDJ forums praising the program.
“I’m starting to set this nifty piece of software called RadioDJ completely to my hand and make it work for me like no other broadcasting-software ever could! RadioDJ is lean, it’s fast, and it NEVER fails!”
Indeed RadioDJ free radio automation software is such a stable and reliable program
Spacial Audio used to have something of a monopoly when it came to Internet radio playout software.
They thought they were the only radio software company that mattered.
20 years or so ago people wanting to run an Internet radio station had only one option and that was to pay $$$ for radio automation software.
SAM Broadcaster may well have been the No1 selling Internetradio automation program once upon a time, However RadioDJ v1.8.2 has been downloaded over 220,000 times making the software more popular than SAM Broadcaster by a country mile.
A user has posted on the feature request section of the Winamp forums asking the developers to include “Smart crossfading” in the next version.
Smart crossfade analyses the playlist and determines if the songs are in increasing sequential track order from the same album. If they aren’t (like in most random mixes) user defined crossfading is used”
Any improvement in crossfading between tracks in Winamp would be welcomed.
