7 Years Of Bliss Using RadioDJ

Yes I’m aware this is another post about RadioDJ and how great it is BUT the fact is its far more stable and reliable than other expensive radio automation software which you can pay lots of $$$, £££ or €€€ for.

I discovered RadioDJ via a Google search around Nov 2010 but hadn’t used to its full potential until the fateful events of New Years Eve/Morning.

We switched to using RadioDJ on the afternoon of 1st January 2011 after SAM Broadcaster went horribly wrong on us overnight while we were asleep.

“We experienced what is known as a ‘Clockwheel Failure’ where only Station ID’s and Jingles would play even though the clockwheel rotation had over 5 days of music to choose from”

Switching to RadioDJ was the best decision I have ever made when it came to software, It was easy to use once I configured its database and options.

RadioDJ 2 Years Uptime

One of my followers on Facebook had his copy of RadioDJ v1.8.2 up and running for 2 years.

He only stopped it to try and upgrade to the latest version of the software.

All I can say to that is WOW! That is some going and it makes RadioDJ a record breaker in my books.

I’ve never known a piece of radio software that is as reliable and stable as RadioDJ and yes you can quote me on that.

Virtualbox & Windows 10 Audio Issues (Finally Fixed?)

I wrote a post a while back about Audio Issues I was having with Windows 10 on Virtualbox.

This morning I woke up, switched the PC on and saw there was an update for Virtualbox so I installed it and BOOM! the audio stuttering issues on Windows 10 seem to have gone away, although there is still the occasional blip in audio which I can live with (but it winds me up)

The Best Little Record Shop – Record Village (Scunthorpe)

When I started out as a DJ in 1987 I had a choice of several places in Scunthorpe to buy records from.

Our Price, Woolworths, WH Smith, Boots but my favourite record shop of them all was Record Village a small independent record shop that was just amazing

Record Village opened around 1976 and had 3 shops at one point, the main one 133 High Street, 49 Wrawby Street in Brigg and a small shop at 13 Collum Lane Ashby.

I Re-Start My Sam Broadcaster Every Couple Of Weeks

Just seen a post from a long time user of SAM Broadcaster who stated that he restarts his copy of SAM every couple of weeks.

“I always re-start my SAM every couple of weeks, or at least, once a month”

Excuse me a minute while I laugh… HA!
