I checked my Twitter account over the weekend and saw a tweet asking this:
OK so why the hell would I have a key for SAM Broadcaster Pro? I cannot stand that piece of software.

I looked at the Spacial Audio page on Facebook and couldn’t help but notice an angry user venting about various issues with SAM Broadcaster.
I don’t need any more of your quick (BUG) fixes, I really thought you had a quality product? Oh well lots of wasted money and time and opportunity”

Just been looking back on various posts on my Facebook page from around this time 3 years ago.
I realised it was around June 2014 when we were first made aware of MariaDB an alternative to Oracle MySQL
Since that first install 3 years ago things have ran smoothly. We’ve not had to rebuild the RadioDJ database from scratch once.

I saw a tweet on Twitter over the weekend (again!)
Hate to break the news to everyone… But you CANNOT setup an online radio station for FREE with SAM Broadcaster.

When you pay out hundreds of $$$ for radio automation software or cloud based automation solutions you would expect them to work without issues while doing a live show wouldn’t you?Unfortunately that isn’t the case with SAM Broadcaster…

Just seen another blog post from Spacial Audio about the reasons you should choose them or their software.
They start off the article with “Internet radio is most definitely on the up”
NOT from where we’re looking it isn’t! 1000’s of stations have gone offline already in 2016 due to the collapse of Live365.
Update: Live365 is back online after a buyout by the people who own stream licensing

I was reminded about a pub I used to frequent in the city of Sheffield earlier today.
The Cossack on Howard street was the first gay pub I ever went into, Followed by The Albert, Which is where I saw my first ever male stripper and drag artist… Never did like strippers, the baby oil would stain your shirt if you got too close!
So it got me thinking about Rockies, the nightclub that I was introduced to around the same time in November 1989.
