Creating A New SQL User

In case you haven’t already noticed MySQL tends to allow some pretty insecure permissions by default, allowing root access from any computer.

This is a big problem, especially if you have port forwarding configured on your router to your MySQL instance.

However you can easily create new users using any management interface, so we’ll do it with HeidiSQL

Sam Broadcaster V4.2.2 Is It A Virus?

If you’ve downloaded SAM Broadcaster off some dodgy file sharing site or downloaded it as a torrent. There’s a good chance of the crack/patch possibly having been altered to contain viruses or other hidden malware.

Believe us and that’s the last thing you want on your computer as it could be stealing your personal details such as Bank/Paypal passwords etc.

Shoutcast Now Playing to Twitter

We used this script for quite some time and it’s a great way to tell your followers on Twitter what songs you are playing on your station.

It takes the now playing info from a Shoutcast v1 server and posts it on Twitter.
