Reading a topic on the Spacial forums from a user who’s having those dreaded “Buffering” issues with the encoders in SAM Broadcaster.
The SVS volunteers on the Spacial forums are trying yet again to blame the problem on the user’s connection.
It’s NOT the user’s broadband connection, ISP or even shoutcast/icecast server at fault, It’s the encoders in SAM Broadcaster being poorly coded. The user has already explained that their Internet connection is working as it should…
The SAM Broadcaster encoders have failed on us several times on several different computers with different ISP providers, They even buffered while streaming to a local shoutcast server on the same PC. So it’s not someones connection at fault.
Even the old winamp DSP plugin encoders would suffer from the same problem.
“It’s a long standing BUG in badly coded software”
So nothing has actually changed with SAM Broadcaster 2015 then? It’s still prone to crashing without warning and for no apparent reason.
I’m surprised the Spacial social media feeds aren’t lit up with complaints about this
“That’s saying they haven’t deleted the bad comments from the social media pages again”
Why do people still pay Spacial Audio $$$ for software that clearly doesn’t work for what it was designed for.
I could understand people paying $$$ if Spacial Audio software worked as advertised but sadly yet again we come to the conclusion that FREE software outweighs SAM Broadcaster for stability & reliability.
I’ve yet to experience the same random crashing issues with RadioDJ free radio automation software.
I’ve used RadioDJ for around 5 years now I couldn’t ask for anymore from the program it does what it’s supposed to “Automate”
RadioDJ is far better programmed and will work for days/weeks/months without anyone keeping an eye on things.
“Gonna put that new PC to the test this year. Going to run and tweet 4 stations using RadioDJ on the same PC”
That’s another reason why RadioDJ is far superior to SAM Broadcaster… the fact you can run as many radio stations you want with the software.
I’ve not seen that use running 4 stations tweeting that any of his stations are ever offline.
If you want great reliability, stability & just a great piece of software then you need RadioDJ
Q: Have you ever wanted to start your own online Internet radio station?
Internet radio can be a really great hobby to have, Once you get used to how everything works it’s great fun. It can be daunting at first but don’t be afraid of searching Google or radio forums for tips and advice.
Most people think setting up an online Internet radio station will cost them lots of $$$.
It need not cost you anything to initially setup your own online radio station. (Not misleading!)
Yes you heard that right! You can start your Internet radio station for FREE with RadioDJ (Yes it’s really FREE)
You will need a decent PC with minimum of 1GB RAM and a decent broadband connection in order to stream successfully.
RadioDJ is a fully fledged radio studio automation package which once installed and configured works rather well at automating music/jingles/promos, Which of course is what the program was designed to do.
RadioDJ can be left alone for long periods of time to do what it does best.
People also don’t need to pay out $$$ to learn how to do Internet radio.
“You don’t have to pay for a course on how to work a piece of software. Search Google & Forums for tips & tricks on how to broadcast on the internet the info is out there for FREE if you search hard enough.

Q: Where can I find a FREE version of SAM Broadcaster?
A: There is NO such thing as a free copy of SAM Broadcaster it costs $299-$699 to buy
Even then you don’t own the software outright you only lease it!
However there is a totally FREE solution (No Hidden fees, No restrictions, No Catches)
RadioDJ doesn’t require registration keys or activation’s to work the full program.
Plus RadioDJ can do everything SAM Broadcaster does ONLY BETTER!
Reasons to use RadioDJ over a pirated version of SAM?
1) Auto DJ function, based on category and subcategory rotation for 24/7 automation;
2) Streaming to Shoutcast/Icecast via a plugin;
3) Great sound via the built in sound processing;
4) Runs on standard PC hardware with at least 1000 MHz CPU and 512 MB RAM;
5) Stability RadioDJ can run for weeks/months and rarely crashes.
6) Supports saving and loading play-lists (.m3u and database);
7) Large library support (Some database options in SAM Broadcaster only allow 20,000 songs)
8) Now playing artist-title exported to text file, web or serial (by plugin);
9) Works on Windows 10 unlike certain versions of SAM Broadcaster 4.x.x;
That’s just a few reasons why you should use RadioDJ free radio automation software.
