I’m Jealous Of RadioDJ

As I’m sat here surfing the web and posting on Twitter & I can’t help but notice RadioDJ playing away in the background doing better crossfades between songs than I ever could as a DJ using Vinyl & decks…

OK so Its more Envy than Jealousy I guess, I’m just happy I’ve finally found the most perfect piece of audio software.

If technology had been this advanced in the 1980s I wouldn’t have a bad back from carrying Vinyl everywhere!

7 Years Of Bliss Using RadioDJ

Yes I’m aware this is another post about RadioDJ and how great it is BUT the fact is its far more stable and reliable than other expensive radio automation software which you can pay lots of $$$, £££ or €€€ for.

I discovered RadioDJ via a Google search around Nov 2010 but hadn’t used to its full potential until the fateful events of New Years Eve/Morning 2010/2011

We switched to using RadioDJ on the afternoon of 1st January 2011 after SAM Broadcaster went horribly wrong on us overnight while we were asleep.

“We experienced what is known as a ‘Clockwheel Failure’ where SAM would only play Station ID’s and Jingles even though the clockwheel rotation had over 5,000 tracks to choose from”

Switching to RadioDJ was the best decision I have ever made when it came to software, It was easy to use once I configured its database and options.

RadioDJ v2.0.0 Won’t Work On Windows XP

This is just a quick heads up for anyone using Windows XP who is thinking of updating RadioDJ from v1.8.2 or older to the new version.

You can’t you’re stuck with v1.8.2 as v2.0.0 requires .NET 4.6.1 and that by all accounts won’t install on Windows XP.

“Bummer. 4.6.1 will not run on XP SP3. That kills that idea. Oh well. Guess I have to move up to Win 7”

RadioDJ 2 Years Uptime

One of my followers on Facebook had his copy of RadioDJ v1.8.2 up and running for 2 years.

He only stopped it to try and upgrade to the latest version of the software.

All I can say to that is WOW! it makes RadioDJ a record breaker in my books.

I’ve never known a piece of radio automation software that is as reliable and stable as RadioDJ and yes you can quote me on that.

Help! I Can’t Install RadioDJ (v2.0.0)

Installing RadioDJ v2.0.0 the easy way…

RadioDJ V2

We know it can be daunting and scary installing radio automation software for the first time.

Especially if you aren’t used to using software that requires a database, but don’t panic it’s not as difficult to setup as you might think.

If you follow these easy steps and have a bit of patience then you should have the program up and running in no time.

1) Starting off with a FRESH clean install of your Windows operating system is a good bet (But not essential)

Important: You may experience issues if you have a system clogged up with junk files they can slow performance down. Use CCleaner to remove junk files and repair the registry.

Don’t forget to backup files/databases/program settings IF you decide to reformat Windows.

RadioDJ Colour Editor (v2.0.0)

RadioDJ Colour Editor: Because everyone has a favourite colour?!

The new version of RadioDJ v2.0.0 allows you to change the colour scheme of your layout in RadioDJ.

Not a lot to say other than it allows you to choose colours in RadioDJ.

It can take some time to get the layout exactly as you want it, But the work will all be worth it

If you know the HTML HEX Colour you can enter it as the RGB values.

Just make sure as soon as you’ve set the colours how you want them click on Save/Save as.

Tip: The colour schemes are saved in the “styles” folder once you have your scheme the way you want it backup the RadioDJ styles folder

Happy Colouring! This is a better feature than skins IMHO
