You have a Choice?

When it comes to radio automation software you have a choice…

“Do you pay $$$ for a program or do you download a program for free?”

Personally we’d rather have something for FREE. Leaves us with more money to spend on other stuff.

We don’t need another radio listing website!

Saw a link popup on the Internet a few days ago for a new radio listing site called “myradiotuner” from the same guy who codes Nextkast so I went and had a look at the website.

When I first tried it I was greeted by a static page although I got stations to play eventually on another browser. Yes I know its under construction but even then It doesn’t look great, The coding/layout looks almost like a clone of the Nextkast website.

One of the users made this observation over the weekend.

“Wow, if it wasn’t for the Russian dating person, the forum would be dead!”

The main target were the hobby users…

A station owner posted a feature request on the RadioDJ forums asking for a GPIO system inclusion in the software.

“Is possible to add GPIO to an event like a play/stop command it could be used turn ON/OFF channels on the mixer, Also I would like to have spots management and scheduling in radio DJ. It would be great for Radio DJ to have a Web interface from which I can import track/spots, scheduling, reports and other things or drupal modules”
