Just realised its about this time 6 years ago I started this blog.
I started it initially to let off steam about how naff some of the software offerings in the world of Internet radio were.
Sat here shaking my head because of a post I’ve seen on a Facebook group.
Someone reckons because RadioDJ doesn’t have paid for support packages that its not a professional system.
There are no messy support contracts with RadioDJ because it doesn’t need them! You are free to do as you please with the software!
Running an online Internet radio station can be a fun thing to do.
However running one radio station isn’t enough for some people they want to run more than 1 station.

Woken up the news that Shoutcast/Radionomy were injecting pre roll adverts into peoples streams.
**Update: DJEgg posted this on the forums**
This was happening to online radio station owners who are using the latest build of the Shoutcast DNAS.
Certain sections of the Internet radio crowd do their best to knock me because I happen to like a piece of free software over paid for solutions such as SAM Broadcaster/RadioBoss etc…
There’s a reason I’m so passionate about RadioDJ free radio automation software.
RadioDJ is the BEST piece of music automation software we’ve ever used (we’ve tested nearly all of them on the market)
After 6 stress free years can you blame me for being so in awe of a piece of software?

I just couldn’t pass this one up…
Last year I reported that a user of RadioDJ had had his copy of the software running for 234 days without a restart.
Well that has just been eclipsed by another user who took time out to post on my Facebook page.
365 days continuous non-stop without spluttering or crashing… WOW just WOW!

Keep seeing posts on the Shoutcast forums from people running radio stations who state that someone else is streaming using their station name.
That’s the thing with Shoutcast people can call their radio station what they want and unless you’re a really big commercial radio station who has the money to get lawyers involved, There isn’t a fat lot you can do about it.
