Seen a few posts from people who are struggling to get RadioDJ to generate the NowPlaying.txt files.
To get RadioDJ to generate the text file you need to be running RadioDJ as “Administrator”
“Newer version of Windows won’t allow writing on C root drive if the application is not running as administrator. It’s not a RadioDJ issue, but a Windows security rule”
Don’t forget to set the location of where you want the program to generate the text file to. e.g C:\NowPlaying.txt
If it’s still not working try lowering your UAC (User Account Control) settings to the lowest setting. As has been said its usually a Windows security problem that stops it from writing the file to the location.
That is all there is to getting a now playing output which can be read by most of the Standalone encoding solutions out there.
“This program is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchant-ability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you”
When something goes wrong with RadioDJ we don’t have to give technical help or advice… We do 99.8% of the time because we care enough about the software.
