Changing The Default MySQL Port (RadioDJ)

Changing the Default SQL port for RadioDJ:

When it comes to a SQL server running along side RadioDJ some users have found that their webhosts won’t allow connections to the default SQL port 3306.

If you need a specific port open for this to work it’s probably a wise idea to email your website host support department asking if it’s OK to use a non standard port for use with SQL. Otherwise you may get into trouble with them.

If your webhost doesn’t allow MySQL connections on a standard 3306 port then you need to get creative by changing the default SQL port in the SQL server program

Read The Disclaimer Page!

I’ve found myself yet again having to defend myself and this blog on social media.

I’m fed up with people trying to tell me what I can and cannot write on my Blog and Facebook pages.

It’s simple if you don’t like what I write on this website or what I write on Facebook then it’s pretty simple.

Why Still Use Windows XP & RadioDJ?

Why Still Use Windows XP & RadioDJ?

Update December 31st 2017: RadioDJ v.2.0.0 will NOT run on Windows XP due to .NET 4.6.1 not installing properly on XP

While trying to give help and advice to someone struggling to get MySQL talking to the RadioDJ web script the user let it slip that he’s still using Windows XP.

Simply Wonderful (RadioDJ)

I probably don’t praise the developer of RadioDJ enough.

The software has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years. It’s just simply wonderful to have a piece of software that does what it’s supposed to and that automate.

Don’t Stream With Spacial? No Support!

Just when I think Spacial Audio support can’t sink any lower I see this on the Facebook page for SAM Broadcaster.

A user is having issues with the encoders in SAM Broadcaster disconnecting on him every 5 minutes.

I’ve written about the Encoders in SAM Broadcaster being dodgy before!

Spacial Audio support have come back to this user and stated because he isn’t using their “Streaming” (SpacialNet) services they can’t help him.
